Our Charter
West County Woodcarvers was created to promote and teach wood carving.
Currently our club members sponsor 4-6 different projects per year. Each project is lead by a club member and is usually able to be completed in 2-4 meetings. Various carving methods are used, and projects range from carving in the round of animals and characters to chip carving and relief carving.
Our club sponsors soap carving for the local youth at various events in the area, and we also support some of the local Scouting groups. Our library consists of various reference materials to assist the carver, and
we are constantly looking for new member at all skill levels. Remember Practice, Practice, Practice! Our club environment allows members and visitors the opportunity for practice and guidence, so please come in and visit us!
